On 09/14/2012, Lynn Police Officers Kelly Aylward, Michael Crosby, John Bernard and Josh Hilton were recognized for their life saving efforts by the Massachusetts Coalition of Police (MASSCOP).
The LPA membership recently voted to ratify two three-year contract agreements covering the period of 2007-2012 inclusive. These agreements represent a true watershed moment for our Association in terms of being able to balance our member interests with the interests of the city, as represented by Mayor Judith Kennedy.
The Lynn Police Association and the City of Lynn, through the efforts of Mayor Kennedy and our representatives have agreed to a tentative settlement that resolves a nearly 6 year contractual impasse. This impasse was the result of litigation on the residency issue, which propelled the Association and the City of Lynn into interest arbitration.
